This auction is for a superb edition entitled “Manual of Dyes and Fabrics,” by Joyce Storey, lavishly illustrated with ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-ONE wonderful photographic and other illustrations in both COLOUR and black and white.
It was published by Thames and Hudson, of London, in 1992.
Written for the textile design student, this book covers the whole wide and complex subject of the chemical aspects of textile printing, including fibres and fabrics, preparation of the cloth for printing, dyes and thickening agents, special printing techniques, cloth finishing and colour-fastness testing.
Each of the subjects dealt with is highly specialized, taking one into the fields of chemistry and chemical technology where great advances have been made in the last 40 years (at the time of publication), and are still being made.

The book measures 9.5 inches x 6.25 inches.
The 192 pages are nice and neat. The binding is very good with no loose or missing pages. There are NO inscriptions and NO other ink or pencil markings in the book. The illustrated glossy cover is in very good condition for a softback of its age, with minor wear and is clean.
